Prayer on back:
Saint Vincent de Paul,
patron of the Marian Fathers
of the Immaculate Conception,
please hear my prayer.
Help the Marian Fathers live their
charism as true “apostles of Divine Mercy” under the maternal and loving guidance
of Our Lady, the Immaculate Conception.
May they also continue to assist the
Holy Souls in Purgatory
and serve Christ and His Church
faithfully and fervently in the spirit of their Founder, St. Stanislaus Papczyński. Amen.
Saint Vincent de Paul (1581-1660), patron of all charitable societies, was a priest and scholar, enslaved for a time, and eventually freed, enabling him to dedicate his life to the works of mercy. He founded the “Fathers of the Mission,” also known as the Vincentians. He so overcame his own natural bad temper that he was famous for his peaceful patience. He opposed the Jansenist heresy and defended the mercy of God. Feast Day: Sept. 27.
