The Congregation of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary has several official patron saints, whom we are invited to invoke and imitate in a special way, and pray for the Marian Fathers and their mission. Among the patrons is Saint Peter (d. c. 64-67 A.D.)
Prayer on back:
Saint Peter,
patron of the Marian Fathers
of the Immaculate Conception,
please hear my prayer.
Help the Marian Fathers live their
charism as true “apostles of Divine Mercy” under the maternal and loving guidance
of Our Lady, the Immaculate Conception.
May they also continue to assist the
Holy Souls in Purgatory
and serve Christ and His Church
faithfully and fervently in the spirit of their Founder, St. Stanislaus Papczyński. Amen.
Saint Peter (d. c. 64-67 A.D.), and his brother, St. Andrew, were fishermen. Born Simon, our Lord named him the Rock (Cephas or Peter) on which He would build His Church. He was the first pope. Saint Peter is patron of popes; Rome and many cities that bear his name; netmakers, shipbuilders; fishermen; locksmiths; cobblers; and those with foot problems. Feast day: June 29.
